NCP Outbreak: Tax Declaration Deadline Postponed to April 24, 2020
On March 30, 2020, PRC State Taxation Administration released a notification to postpone the deadline of tax filing of April (previously, the tax filing in February has been extended to February 28, 2020 and the tax filing in March has been extended to March 23, 2020).Currently, the monthly tax filing in April has been extended as well and the new deadline is April 24, 2020.
In addition, deadline can be further postponed for taxpayers who still have financial difficulties (an application shall be made in advance).
Legal News: Minister of Commerce Solicitates Public Opinions on Complaints Mechanism for Foreign-invested Enterprises
According to article 26 of the PRC Foreign Investment Law implemented on January 1, 2020, China shall establish a complaint mechanism for foreign-invested enterprises, timely solve the problems reported by foreign-invested enterprises or their investors, and coordinate and improve relevant policy measures. In order to better implement the PRC Foreign Investment Law as well as optimize the foreign investment environment, on March 23, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce has issued Measures for Work on Complaints from Foreign-invested Enterprises (Draft for Comments) for public consultation by April 22, 2020, which enable the investors who encounter problem from the government departments or their representative officers to make a complaint to protect own legitimate rights and interests.
